Abbattiamo i muri del potere
Sembra ormai norma che “Lecce città del turismo” non tolleri più alcun dissenso. Una città ormai del tutto gentrificata sinonimo di una città controllata. I muri eretti in seguito allo sgombero della nuova occupazione anarchica nel centro storico, in un edificio di proprietà comunale, parlano da soli. Al di fuori del consumo, nulla è concesso. E il centro storico di Lecce è ormai totalmente luogo di consumo, tra bar e ristoranti, locali alla moda e negozi di lusso, alberghi e B&B. Per i residenti di un tempo, additati perché abitanti del centro storico, non c’è più posto. Per i refrattari, di qualsiasi tipo, non c’è più posto. I muri si ergono per chi non si adegua o è diverso: che sia un immigrato vissuto occupando alle Giravolte per più di vent’anni, o chi vuole prendersi uno spazio per esprimere le sue idee e i suoi desideri. Quei muri sono l’esatta espressione del potere. Che si chiami Noi con Salvini o si chiami Noi con Salvemini (sindaco di Lecce), di fatto i processi portati avanti sono gli stessi. Con brutalità il primo, con il sorriso il secondo, sicurezza e decoro sono la parte centrale dell’agenda del potere. Agenda che significa sempre più polizia nelle strade, TSO, annientamento della vita sociale, espulsione degli indesiderati, controllo totale, omologazione. Perché tutto è collegato e non è possibile sentirsi estranei.
Soltanto chi ha gli occhi chiusi non può accorgersi di quanto e come stia cambiando questo territorio, di quanto e come le persone che lo abitano siano sempre più spossessate della loro esistenza. Si eradicano alberi e si cancella il paesaggio, sostituito con impianti, centrali e cemento. Si chiudono spazi per eradicare il pensiero critico, il dissenso, la ribellione. Per via poliziesca o per via burocratica, l’Autorità vuole solo affermare se stessa e il suo totalitarismo. Questo concetto base di uno Stato di polizia è, in fondo, anche il concetto base di uno Stato democratico e di chi lo amministra. Il resto sono chiacchiere da bar. Ma se i muri vengono eretti la cosa più semplice e più urgente da fare è abbatterli, qualsiasi cosa essi rappresentino. Confini, morale, annientamento del pensiero critico. Eradicare la refrattarietà della natura selvaggia, così come di quella antiautoritaria, non è poi impresa facile.

Break down the walls of power
It now appears that “Lecce city of tourism” no longer tolerates any dissent. A city now completely gentrified, synonymous with a controlled city. The walls erected following the eviction of the new anarchist occupation in the historic center, in a building owned by the municipality, speak for themselves. Outside of consumption, nothing is granted. And the historic center of Lecce is now totally a place of consumption, including bars and restaurants, trendy bars and luxury shops, hotels and B&Bs. For residents of the past, pointed because inhabitants of the historic center, there is no place left. There is no place for refractories of any kind. The walls stand for those who do not adapt or are different: whether they are immigrants living in the Giravolte for more than twenty years, or those who want to take a space to express their ideas and desires. Those walls are the exact expression of power. That is called Us with Salvini [“Noi con Salvini”, electoral party coalition led by Matteo Salvini, leader of the “Northern League” party, currently renamed “League]” or that is called Us with Salvemini (mayor of Lecce), in fact the processes carried out are the same. With brutality the first, with a smile the second, security and decorum are the central part of the agenda of power. Agenda that means more and more police in the streets, TSO, annihilation of social life, expulsion of undesirables, total control, homologation. Because everything is connected and it is not possible to feel strangers.
Only those who have their eyes closed cannot realize how much and how this territory is changing, how and how the people who live there are increasingly dispossessed of their existence. Trees are eradicated and the landscape is erased, replaced with structures, power stations and cement. Spaces are closed to eradicate critical thinking, dissent, rebellion. By police or by bureaucracy, the Authority wants only to affirm itself and its totalitarianism. This basic concept of a police State is basically the basic concept of a democratic State and its administrators. The rest is bar talk. But if the walls are erected, the simplest and most urgent thing to do is to demolish them, whatever they represent. Borders, morality, annihilation of critical thinking. Eradicating the refractoriness of wild nature, as well as anti-authoritarian nature, is not an easy task.

Ahora parece que la «ciudad del turismo de Lecce» ya no tolera ninguna disidencia. Una ciudad ahora completamente gentrificada, sinónimo de ciudad controlada. Los muros erigidos tras la expulsión de la nueva ocupación anarquista en el centro histórico, en un edificio de propiedad del municipio, hablan por sí mismos. Fuera del consumo, no se otorga nada. Y el centro histórico de Lecce es ahora totalmente un lugar de consumo, que incluye bares y restaurantes, bares de moda y tiendas de lujo, hoteles y B & B. Para lxs residentes del pasado, identificadxs como habitantes del centro histórico, no queda lugar. No hay lugar para refractarixs de ningún tipo. Los muros representan a aquellxs que no se adaptan o son diferentes: ya sean inmigrantes que viven en el Giravolte por más de veinte años, o aquellxs que desean tomar un espacio para expresar sus ideas y deseos. Esos muros son la expresión exacta del poder. Llámenos con Salvini o llámenos con Salvemini (alcalde de Lecce), de hecho, los procesos realizados son los mismos. Con la brutalidad lo primero, con una sonrisa lo segundo, la seguridad y el decoro son la parte central de la agenda del poder. Agenda que significa más y más policías en las calles, TSO, aniquilación de la vida social, expulsión de indeseables, control total, homologación. Porque todo está conectado y no es posible sentirse ajenxs.
Solo aquellxs que tienen los ojos cerrados no pueden darse cuenta de cuánto y cómo está cambiando este territorio, cuánto y cómo las personas que viven allí están cada vez más desposeídas de su existencia. Los árboles se erradican y el paisaje se borra, reemplazado por plantas, centrales eléctricas y cemento. Los espacios están cerrados para erradicar el pensamiento crítico, la disidencia, la rebelión. Por la policía o por la burocracia, la Autoridad solo quiere afirmarse a sí misma y su totalitarismo. Este concepto básico de un estado policial es básicamente el concepto básico de un estado democrático y sus administradores. El resto es hablar de bar. Pero si se erigen los muros, lo más simple y urgente es demolerlos, sea lo que sea que representen. Fronteras, moralidad, aniquilación del pensamiento crítico. Erradicar la refractariedad de la naturaleza salvaje, así como la naturaleza antiautoritaria, no es una tarea fácil.
