Grecia: Aggiornamento sul processo contro l’anarchico Konstantinos Giagztoglou (settembre 2019)

Venerdì 20 settembre 2019, nell’aula speciale della prigione di Korydallos, è iniziato il processo contro il compagno anarchico Konstantinos Giagtzoglou.

Sintesi della vicenda

Dinos è stato arrestato nell’ottobre del 2017 in un’imboscata antiterroristica avvenuta mentre stava lasciando un appartamento nel centro di Atene, che aveva affittato con un documento d’identità falso per aiutare un compagno perseguitato. Fu arrestato con un ordine emesso dall’investigatore speciale Eutychis Nikopoulos per l’indagine sui pacchi-bomba inviati tramite posta che furono inviati (e successivamente in parte intercettati) a funzionari dell’élite economica e politica europea, nella primavera di quell’anno. Da allora è stato incarcerato ed accusato di aver partecipato a una “organizzazione terroristica”, nonché della costruzione e della spedizione di dispositivi esplosivi a funzionari di istituzioni finanziarie e agenzie di rating in tutta Europa, nonché di un tentativo di omicidio per il pacchetto che ha ferito Loukas Papadimos, ex primo ministro della Grecia. Il compagno ha dichiarato, fin dal primo momento del suo arresto e in una lettera aperta al movimento anarchico, che affittare l’appartamento era una scelta cosciente nel contesto della solidarietà rivoluzionaria, ma non accetta nessuna delle altre accuse.

Allo stesso tempo, la polizia tedesca e francese è stata chiamata a indagare sul pacchetto ricevuto dal ministro federale (europeo) delle finanze, Wolfgang Schäuble, che fu intercettato dal personale di sicurezza del ministero tedesco a Berlino, e per il pacchetto ricevuto dal rappresentante del FMI (Fondo Monetario Internazionale) per l’Europa, Franks Jeffrey, che è esploso nella sua sede di Parigi. I destinatari dei restanti otto pacchi, identificati dal Centro di rilevamento antiterrorismo “ELTA” a Kryoneri, nell’ordine indicato nel fascicolo, erano i seguenti:

Antigoni Loudiades (ex banchiere di Goldman Sachs e fondatore della Rothesay Life Insurance Company), con sede a Londra, Regno Unito.
Jose Santos (direttore generale di Fitch Ratings), con sede a Barcellona, Spagna.
Marcin Petrykowski (capo delle filiali per l’Europa centrale e orientale dell’agenzia di rating Standard & Poor’s), con sede a Varsavia, Polonia.
Hugo McNeill (Irish Investment Banking Officer e membro di Goldman Sachs), con sede a Dublino, Irlanda.
Klaus Regling (CEO di ESM – “European Stability Mechanism”), con sede a Lussemburgo.
Jeroen Dijsselbloem (ex ministro delle finanze dei Paesi Bassi ed ex presidente dell’Eurogruppo), presso il ministero delle finanze dell’Aia, Paesi Bassi.
Mauro Crisafulli (primo vicepresidente della valutazione di Moody), con sede a Milano, Italia.
Christine Claire Graeff (direttore generale dei servizi linguistici e di comunicazione della BCE – “Banca Centrale Europea”), con sede a Francoforte, Germania.

Nel processo, iniziato il 20 settembre, Dinos è accusato (tra le altre cose, e per la seconda volta) di aderire e partecipare ad una “organizzazione terroristica” e di aver tentato di trasferirsi in un luogo sicuro in modo tale che gli fosse stato possibile slegarsi all’affitto della casa. La stessa indagine includeva anche le accuse inerenti un conto bancario tenuto da un compagno senza una ragione apparente e, conseguentemente, accusato di finanziare una “organizzazione terroristica” dove insieme ad altri anarchici prigionieri attuali ed ex, persone non correlate, amici e parenti avrebbero depositato il denaro. Nello stesso processo, Pola Roupa (membro dell’organizzazione Lotta Rivoluzionaria) è accusata di falsificazione e fabbricazione della presunta identità con cui Dinos ha affittato il dipartimento di Alkmenus Street (Atene) nel dicembre del 2015.

Sintesi della prima udienza

Alla prima udienza, gli imputati e i loro legali rappresentanti della difesa sono comparsi davanti al tribunale, mentre per coloro che non lo hanno fatto, il tribunale ha richiesto degli avvocati e li ha nominati d’ufficio. I testimoni erano tutti presenti. I suddetti avvocati hanno richiesto una scadenza per ottenere il fascicolo e contattare l’imputato. Il tribunale ha rinviato e fissato la prossima udienza per all’8 ottobre, con le successive udienze previste per i giorni 11, 15, 21 e 31 ottobre. Il secondo caso (quello in cui le forze dell’ordine e gli accusatori hanno coinvolto Lotta Rivoluzionaria), tenuto dallo stesso tribunale, è stato rinviato al 29 novembre, a condizione che il processo principale a carico di Dinos sia finito.

La presenza in aula e l’abbraccio di compagni, amici e solidali hanno dato gioia e forza al compagno imprigionato, esprimendo in termini reali il motto: Nessun altro anarchico nelle mani dello Stato.

Greece: Update on the trial of imprisoned anarchist comrade Konstantinos Giagztoglou (September 2019)

On Friday, September 20, 2019, in the special courtroom of the Korydallos prison, the trial against anarchist comrade Konstantinos Giagztoglou began.

CASE SUMMARY

Dinos was arrested in October 2017 in an anti-terrorist ambush when he left an apartment in central Athens, which he rented with false ID to help a persecuted comrade. He was arrested with an order issued by Special Investigator Eutychis Nikopoulos for the case of intercepted letter-bomb packages which were sent to officials of the European economic and political elite in the spring of that year. Since then he has been detained and accused of participating in a “terrorist organization”, as well as construction and dispatch of explosive devices to officials of financial institutions and rating agencies throughout Europe, as well as an attempted murder for the package that injured Loukas Papadimos, the former prime minister of Greece. The comrade has declared from the first moment of his arrest and in an open letter to the anarchist movement, that renting the apartment was a conscious choice in the context of revolutionary solidarity, but does not accept any of the other accusations.

At the same time, the German and French police were called to investigate the package received by the Federal Minister of Finance, Wolfgang Schäuble, which was identified by the security staff of the German ministry in Berlin, and for the package received by the IMF representative for Europe, Franks Jeffrey, which exploded at its headquarters in Paris. The recipients of the remaining 8 packages, identified by the ELTA Anti-Terrorist Detection Center in Kryoneri, in the order indicated in the case file, were the following:

In the trial, which began on 9/20, Dinos is accused (among other things) of (for the second time) joining and participating in a “terrorist organization” and for attempting to move to a safe place in order to be released from the rental of the House. The same case also included the case of a bank account maintained by a comrade for no apparent reason and, therefore, accused of financing a “terrorist organization” where along with other current and former prisoners, unrelated, friends and relatives allegedly deposited the money. In the same trial, the member of Revolutionary Struggle, Pola Roupa, is accused of falsification to allegedly fabricate the identity with which Dinos rented the Alkmenus Street department in December 2015.

SUMMARY OF THE FIRST JUDGMENT

At the first hearing, the defendants and their representative defense lawyers appeared before the court, while for those who did not do so, the court requested lawyers and appointed them ex officio. The witnesses were all present. The aforementioned advocates requested a deadline to obtain the case file and contact the accused. The court postponed and set the next hearing for 8/10, with subsequent hearings on October 11, 15, 21 and 31. The second case (of the Revolutionary Struggle) trial by the same court was postponed to November 29, provided that Dinos’ case was over.

The presence in the courtroom and the embrace of comrades, friends and those in solidarity gave the imprisoned comrade joy and strength, expressing in real terms the anarchist motto:
