Italia: Operazione “Prometeo” – Scritto di Robert dal carcere di Bancali (Sassari)
Ciao a tutti/e!
Sono Robert e dal 6 luglio mi trovo rinchiuso nel carcere di Sassari. Sono accusato assieme a una compagna e a un compagno dell’invio di “buste esplosive” a due pubblici ministeri, Sparagna e Rinaudo, e al direttore del DAP [1]. All’alba del 21 maggio [2019] siamo stati perquisiti e portati in carcere. Io e Beppe siamo stati rinchiusi a Opera, dove abbiamo trascorso un mese nella sezione di “osservazione”. Si tratta dell’area in cui vengono collocati i detenuti che devono scontare i 15 giorni di isolamento punitivo o quelli considerati ad alto rischio autolesivo. Nel nostro caso ci siamo ritrovati in quella sezione visto che a Opera non è presente un’AS2 [“Alta Sorveglianza 2”] ma “solo” l’AS1, l’AS3 e l’immancabile 41bis. Avendo il divieto di comunicare con gli altri detenuti abbiamo trascorso un mese in celle singole con il blindo perennemente chiuso e un’ora d’aria al mattino in uno squallido cortiletto angusto. In quella sezione era inoltre proibito l’uso dei fornelletti, per cui ci siamo adeguati al vitto del carcere, quasi sempre immangiabile. Non che avessi mai nutrito qualche aspettativa nei confronti di questi luoghi di annientamento psicologico e fisico. Dopo un mese è arrivato il trasferimento, e mi hanno portato in AS2 a Terni in cui sono rimasto due settimane. Non soddisfatti degli spostamenti, il 6 luglio mi hanno trasferito a Sassari dove è presente un AS2 finora utilizzata per rinchiudere i detenuti islamici accusati di terrorismo; evidentemente il 2019 è l’anno in cui sperimentare l’accostamento anarchici/islamici. Questo luogo viene definito dai prigionieri stessi “La Guantanamo d’Italia” per la durezza e per le restrizioni del regime in sè e per la sua lontananza da tutto che, oltre a rendere difficili i colloqui, spiana totalmente la strada all’amministrazione del carcere nel prendere decisioni e provvedimenti in maniera ancora più arbitraria.
In merito all’operazione Prometeo farò un paio di brevi considerazioni. L’inchiesta, condotta dai ROS [“Raggruppamento Operativo Speciale” dei Carabinieri] di Torino coordinati dalla procura di Milano, si rivela l’ennesimo becero tentativo di colpire gli anarchici in quanto tali.
A certi atti i tutori dell’ordine devono per forza fornire una giustificazione, costruire moventi e attribuire responsabilità. I solerti investigatori hanno rivelato anche questa volta le loro doti creative e la loro frustrazione pescando nel mucchio, strumentalizzando miseramente intercettazioni e dialoghi della quotidianità, e aggrappandosi a qualsiasi appiglio pur di dare sostanza ad un nulla di fatto. Corrispondenze con i prigionieri e iniziative di solidarietà diventano i punti chiave su cui far leva per inquisire, e rappresentano il pretesto per inventarsi collegamenti e forzature. Nulla di nuovo che non si sia già visto nelle inchieste che negli scorsi mesi e anni hanno colpito varie realtà.
In questi tempi di isterismo e caccia alle streghe lo stato non perde l’occasione per fomentare la guerra fra poveri istituendo soggetti indesiderati (gli anarchici, gli stranieri, i vandali, etc…) per distogliere l’attenzione dalle nefandezze che quotidianamente attua. E servendosi di provvedimenti vigliacchi e liberticidi tenta in ogni modo di levarsi di torno chi è considerato di troppo e chi ostacola gli interessi dei padroni.
Con parecchio ritardo a causa della censura ho appreso degli scioperi della fame delle compagne e dei compagni, e della mobilitazione che si è creata per rompere l’isolamento e dare eco alla voce e alle lotte di chi è rinchiuso. Trovo interessante che si stia provando a sviluppare un discorso che oltrepassi l’emergenzialità, con l’auspicio di non farsi trovare impreparati in occasioni simili. Mando perciò un forte abbraccio a tutte/i coloro che hanno intrapreso lo sciopero della fame e a chi lotta dentro e fuori queste mura assassine.
Stragista e terrorista è lo Stato.

Italy: “Prometeo” operation – Text of Robert from the prison of Bancali (Sassari)
Hello everyone!
I am Robert and from 6 July I find myself locked up in the prison of Sassari. I am accused together with two comrades of sending “explosive bags” to two public prosecutors, Sparagna and Rinaudo, and to the director of the DAP [1]. At dawn on May 21st [2019] we were searched and taken to jail. Beppe and I were locked up in Opera, where we spent a month in the “observation” section. This is the area where prisoners are placed who must serve the 15 days of punitive isolation or those considered to be of high risk for self-harm. In our case, we found ourselves in that section, given that Opera does not have an AS2 [“High Surveillance 2”] but “only” AS1, AS3 and the inevitable 41bis. Having been banned from communicating with the other inmates, we spent a month in single cells with the blind permanently closed and an hour of air in the morning in a squalid narrow courtyard. In that section it was also forbidden to use cookers, so we adapted to the prison food, which was almost always inedible. Not that I had ever had any expectations for these places of psychological and physical annihilation. After a month the transfer arrived, and they took me to AS2 in Terni where I stayed for two weeks. Not satisfied with the movements, on 6 July they transferred me to Sassari where there is an AS2 so far used to lock up the Islamic prisoners accused of terrorism; evidently 2019 is the year in which to experiment the anarchist / Islamic combination. This place is defined by the prisoners themselves as “La Guantanamo d’Italia” for the harshness and restrictions of the regime itself and for its remoteness from everything that, in addition to making the talks difficult, completely paves the way for the administration of the prison in making decisions and measures even more arbitrarily.
About the operation Prometeo will make a couple of brief considerations. The investigation, conducted by the ROS [“Special Operational Grouping” of the Carabinieri] of Turin coordinated by the Milan prosecutor’s office, reveals itself as yet another weak attempt to hit the anarchists as such.
To certain acts the law enforcement officers must necessarily provide a justification, construct motives and attribute responsibility. This time, the diligent investigators have revealed their creative talents and their frustration by fishing in the heap, miserably exploiting eavesdroppings and everyday dialogues, and clinging to any pretext to give substance to a stalemate. Correspondences with prisoners and solidarity initiatives become the key points on which to investigate, and represent the pretext for inventing connections and forcing. Nothing new that has not already been seen in the investigations that have hit various situations in recent months and years.
In these times of hysteria and witch-hunts, the State does not miss the opportunity to stir up the war between the poor by instituting undesirable subjects (anarchists, foreigners, vandals, etc…) to divert attention from the atrocities that daily implements. And by making use of cowardly and liberticidal measures, he tries in every way to get rid of those who are considered too much and those who hinder the interests of the bosses.
With a lot of delay because of the censorship, I learned of the hunger strikes of the comrades, and of the mobilization that was created to break the isolation and echo the voice and the struggles of those locked up. I find it interesting that we are trying to develop a discourse that goes beyond the emergency, with the hope of not being caught unprepared on similar occasions. I therefore send a strong hug to all those who have undertaken the hunger strike and to those who fight inside and outside these murderous walls.
Mass murderer and terrorist is the State.
