Francia: Aggiornamento su Vincenzo (settembre 2019)

Giovedì 8 agosto 2019, in Francia, è stato arrestato l’anarchico Vincenzo Vecchi. L’arresto è stato effettuato dalla polizia francese e, secondo quanto riportato dai media di regime, è stato reso possibile dall’apporto reso dagli agenti del “Servizio per il contrasto dell’estremismo e del terrorismo interno” e della sezione Antiterrorismo della DIGOS di Milano, che tramite “uno stretto raccordo investigativo” con la polizia francese sono riusciti ad individuare il compagno. Contro di lui erano stati spiccati due mandati di arresto europei, emessi dalle procure di Milano e di Genova.

Vincenzo era latitante e ricercato dal 2012, a seguito della condanna definitiva a circa 12 anni di carcere che gli è stata imposta per le accuse (precisamente, il reato di “devastazione e saccheggio”) inerenti le giornate di rivolta contro il summit del G8 avvenuto a Genova nel luglio del 2001.

Il 23 agosto il tribunale ha richiesto ulteriori informazioni alle autorità giudiziarie italiane, da ricevere prima del 10 ottobre, per chiarire vari punti relativi alle condanne in Italia. Oltre ad essere stato condannato per le giornate di rivolta contro il G8 di Genova, Vincenzo è stato condannato anche a quattro anni di carcere per la partecipazione ad una manifestazione antifascista (contro il partito “Fiamma Tricolore”) a Milano, nel 2006. Il 23 agosto circa sessanta tra parenti, amici e compagni erano presenti davanti alla Corte d’Appello di Rennes, dove i giudici hanno osservato la richiesta di scarcerazione. Precedentemente, il 22 agosto, la camera investigativa aveva ordinato un’indagine di fattibilità per i possibili arresti domiciliari con sorveglianza elettronica.

Venerdì 27 settembre la Corte d’Appello di Rennes ha respinto la domanda di rilascio del compagno in attesa dell’udienza di estradizione. Una nuova udienza è attesa nelle prossime settimane nello stesso tribunale; in questa udienza i giudici francesi decideranno se Vincenzo sarà consegnato alle autorità italiane.

France: Update about Vincenzo (September 2019)

Anarchist Vincenzo Vecchi was arrested on Thursday, August 8, 2019 in France. The arrest was carried out by the French cops and (as reported by the scum media) was made possible by the contribution of the agents of the “Service for the fight against extremism and internal terrorism” and of the Antiterrorism section of the DIGOS of Milan, which through “a close investigative connection” with the French police were able to identify the comrade. Against him two European arrest warrants had been issued by the prosecutors of Milan and Genoa.

Vincenzo had been “on the run” since 2012, following the final sentence of 11 years and six months that was imposed on charges of “devastation and pillage, robbery and carrying of weapons” following Black Bloc actions against the G8 summit that took place in Genoa, Italy in July 2001.

On August 23rd, the court ordered further information to the Italian justice authorities, before October 10th, to clarify various points concerning convictions in Italy. Vincenzo was also sentenced to four years in prison for his participation in an anti-fascist demonstration in Milan, in 2006, against “Fiamma Tricolore” political party. About sixty relatives, friends and comrades were present before the Court of Appeal of Rennes where his request for release was studied. Previously, on August 22nd, the investigating chamber ordered a feasibility investigation for possible house arrest with electronic surveillance.

On Friday, 27 September, the Rennes Court of Appeal refused the application for release of the comrade pending extradition hearing. A new hearing is expected in the next few weeks in the same court to decide whether Vincenzo will be handed over to the Italian authorities.
