Pisa, Italia: Sgomberato il Galeone Occupato

Il 30 luglio 2019 è stato sgomberato il Galeone Occupato di via Lucchese 65, a Pisa, una occupazione anarchica esistente dal 26 maggio 2017. Un ingente dispiegamento di forze dell’ordine, assieme ai vigili del fuoco, è arrivato nei pressi dell’edificio alle ore 10.30 circa. A seguito dell’irruzione, una compagna è stata arrestata (successivamente è stata rilasciata) ed un altro compagno si è asserragliato sul tetto dell’edificio nel tentativo di resistere allo sgombero più a lungo possibile, mentre nei pressi arrivavano compagni solidali. Infine il Galeone è stato sgomberato dopo qualche ora.

A una decina di persone sono state notificate indagini con le accuse di occupazione abusiva, furto di energia elettrica e danneggiamento di cabine dell’Enel. In riferimento a queste indagini, il pubblico ministero aveva inizialmente richiesto dei fogli di via con obbligo di firma.

Pisa, Italy: Galeone Occupato has been evicted

On 30 July 2019 has been evicted Galeone Occupato, located at via Lucchese 65, in Pisa, an anarchist squatted building existing since May 26th, 2017. A huge deployment of law enforcement, along with the fire fighters, arrived near the building at around 10.30 am. Following the raid, a comrade was arrested (later released) and another comrade barricaded himself on the roof of the building in an attempt to resist the eviction as long as possible, while comrades in solidarity arrived nearby. Finally the Galeone was evicted after a few hours.

Eleven people were notified of investigations with allegations of abusive occupation, theft of electricity and damage to Enel (company that manages energy supply) cabins. With reference to these investigations, the public prosecutor had initially requested the obligation not to enter the city (“foglio di via”) with the obligation to sign to the police station for a certain period.
